OutdoorCooling's Environmental Control System provides the ideal year-round growing conditions in both mechanical and natural ventilation in greenhouses. In the summer, the fog's 5-micron size water droplets quickly evaporate, to cool and humidify the air. In winter, the fog maintains controlled humidity levels to prevent plant dehydration. It is ideal for propagation, germination and plug production year-round. OutdoorCooling's systems are custom-designed on CAD and manufactured for each specific greenhouse structure and crop. The grower may easily install the system, pre-assembled sections connect quickly and easily, therefore resulting in significant cost savings.
- Energy and irrigation costs greatly reduced (pads may be eliminated, fan usage may be cut down by as much as 65%)
- Installation and ongoing labour costs are greatly reduced.
- Temperature and humidity gradients are eliminated.
- Automatic foliar feeding of measured amounts of nutrients.
- Better crops, increased plug production, faster rooting, quicker growth rate and improved crop uniformity.
- It permits a higher density planting, reduces disease and cuts crop losses during the rooting, germination and propagation period.
Wine in barrel rooms can lose up to 15% volume per year due to fluctuations in humidity levels. “Topping-Off” is an exhausting and time consuming process that can be reduced with an OutdoorCooling humidification system. Oak barrels in use or in storage suffer from the swings in humidity and can be damaged even before use. OutdoorCooling has developed a humidification system for wineries and barrel rooms. CAD designed, tailor made systems are installed in the barrel rooms to accurately maintain the humidity around 85%. Nozzle lines are mounted in the house to give an equal distribution of the humidity. The system leaves NO wetting of the floors or the barrels when in operation and does not affect the stored wine.

- Integration with air handlers creates an energy efficient control system.
- Reduces wine losses to 1 or 2% per year.
- Drastically reduces labour costs involving “Topping-off".
- Reduces the risk of contamination to wine when “Topping-Off”.
- System return on investment is as low as one year. A Unique Fog System that's Easy to install, Inexpensive to Operate & Achieves Better Results.
